Andun Engineering Consultants (AEC) have launched a new website aimed to give construction contractors an overview of the Temporary Works Procedures Flowchart.

This replaces the Temporary Works Flowchart which has been distributed free of charge by Andun Engineering Consultants to the construction industry for a number of years as both a physical copy and a digital download.

Visit www.temporaryworksflowchart.com

The new website is dedicated to sharing Temporary Works best practice within the construction industry and creates a user-friendly way of accessing the procedures flowchart and other resources that will be developed in the future.

The website also creates flexibility for the development and amendment of the procedures flowchart to adapt to future changes to BS5975 as and when they are released.

How The Temporary Works Procedures Flowchart Website Works

To maintain the visual simplicity of the flowchart structure the website strips the detail from the initial view with users able to click individual steps on the flowchart to get more detailed information on that aspect.

This combined with splitting the flowchart by usertype keeps the procedures flowchart easily digestible from a top level whilst maintaining the technical detail.

Temporary Works Contractor Level

One of the challenges of the previous flowchart was that the evolution of BS5975 made it increasingly difficult to present all the information required in just one document.

To ensure that all the information is available in an easy-to-digest format, focused on a users role. The first step in simplifying the layout was to split the flowchart of the procedures by a role.

The three roles that can access a tailored version of the flowchart:

  • Principal Contractor
  • Managing Contractor
  • Subcontractor

AEC provide a wide range of Temporary Works CPD support to the construction industry.

This includes a monthly live webinar, the recordings of which are made available on our website and via our YouTube channel.
