Demolition Consultancy

Andun Engineering Consultants (Andun) provide demolition consultancy services to support contractors in the design and delivery of demolition engineering schemes.

Our focus is on providing safe, efficient and cost effective demolition engineering solutions to contractors from the tender stage through to project completion.

This expertise is of particular value when the scope of the project involves significant engineering challenges or project constraints. Examples of constraints we provide engineering solutions for include clash detection, and weight capacity restrictions for required plant and machinery.

We work with both construction firms and specialist demolition contractors on a wide range of projects. Building an extensive portfolio of case studies for different environments, structures and methodologies.

Some of which we use as case studies in our monthly temporary works and demolition webinars. Each webinar being focused on a different area of temporary works or demolition engineering including those in this list of demolition methodologies and structures we can support.

  • Bridge demolition or removal
  • Cut & Carve Demolition
  • Pull down/blow down demolition
  • Pre and post stressed structures
  • LPS Structures
  • Rail structures
  • Facade retention
  • Gas holder demolition

CAT 3 CHECK

Andun can also provide independent BS5975 compliant CAT 3 checks for temporary works and demolition engineering designs.

We add value by providing checks that go beyond pass/fail metrics, providing detailed feedback on the validity of the design. Working with your engineers to raise issues and resolve queries, whilst maintaining our independence.

The recommendations  and feedback provided are based on project safety and design efficacy as well as potentially identifying more efficient designs that could reduce labour intensity and material cost.

DEMOLITION TENDER SUPPORT

The earlier that Andun can have input into the demolition engineering of a project, the bigger the potential impact we can have by designing the most efficient and effective engineering solution for the project.

Demolition engineering input at the demolition tender stage can aid in the identification and mitigation of engineering challenges and constraints. Making it easier to include an accurate and effective demolition methodology and cost structure in the tender.
